The site is devoted to the analysis and discussion of philosophical, methodological, and logical problems of medicine as practice and research. It has arisen from the administrator’s equivalent, German website for the philosophy of medicine (philmed-online.de) and is currently composed of five parts that you can access by clicking the 5 hyperlinks in the horizontal navigation menu beneath the site title:

1. A ‘Philosophy of Medicine’ section consisting of four subdivisions, including information on literature, events, who’s who, and institutions in the field of the philosophy of medicine.
2. A philosophy of medicine encyclopedia in statu nascendi named Philmed Online Encyclopedia. This is a Wiki in which the users write and publish articles on subjects in philosophy of medicine and related areas.
3. A Forum for discussion about philosophy of medicine.
4. A special section devoted to analytic philosophy of medicine exemplified by the webmaster's Handbook of Analytic Philosophy of Medicine, HAPM.
5. A Blog which the user encounters when entering the site.
